In the UAE an air conditioner is not a luxury. It runs for ten months a year, often around the clock, against outdoor temperatures that pass 45°C in summer. That workload wears out capacitors, fan motors and compressors much faster than in milder countries, and fine desert dust clogs filters and coils within weeks. Common AC problems we fix
AC not cooling or blowing warm air
Usually low refrigerant from a leak, a failed capacitor, a dirty condenser coil or a faulty compressor. We test pressure and electrics to find the exact cause.
Water leaking from the indoor unit
A blocked drain line, a cracked drain tray or a frozen evaporator coil. We flush the drain, clear algae and fix the slope so it does not come back.
AC tripping the breaker
Shorted compressor windings, a failing capacitor or loose wiring. This needs an electrical check, so switch the unit off until it is inspected.
Ice on the pipes or coil
Restricted airflow from clogged filters, a weak fan, or low gas. Running an iced AC can damage the compressor.
Strange noises or vibration
Worn fan bearings, a loose blower wheel, debris in the outdoor fan or a struggling compressor. Early repair avoids bigger damage.
Bad smell from the vents
Mould and bacteria growing on a wet coil or inside ducts. Deep cleaning and anti-bacterial treatment remove the smell.
Outdoor unit not starting
A failed contactor, capacitor or PCB fault, or a communication error between indoor and outdoor units.
Remote or thermostat not working

AC care tips from our technicians
- Clean or wash the indoor filters every 2–4 weeks in summer; dust here is the number one cause of poor cooling.
- Book a full service with a coil wash at least twice a year, ideally before May and after the summer.
- Keep the outdoor unit clear of boxes and plants so it can release heat.
- Set the thermostat to 24°C: every degree lower adds load without much extra comfort.
- If you see water dripping indoors or ice on the pipes, switch the AC off and call a technician.

How often should an AC be serviced in the UAE?
Because ACs run most of the year here, we recommend a full service at least twice a year, and a filter clean every 2–4 weeks in summer. Homes near construction or in sandy areas may need servicing every 3–4 months.
Do you refill AC gas?
Yes. But low gas means there is a leak somewhere, so we find and repair the leak first. Topping up without fixing the leak just wastes your money.
Can you repair inverter ACs?
Yes. We repair inverter and non-inverter split, window, ducted and cassette units, including PCB, sensor and compressor faults.
Why is my AC running but not cooling?
