Dishwashers fail quietly. First the dishes come out with a white film, then water stays in the bottom, and one day the machine stops mid-cycle with an error. In the UAE the main culprits are blocked filters and drain pumps, spray arms clogged with scale, and heating elements damaged by mineral build-up.
We test the circulation and drain pumps, heater, inlet valve, float switch and control board, clean the sump and spray arms, and explain the fault and cost before any work. We repair integrated, semi-integrated, freestanding and slimline (45 cm) dishwashers.
Common dishwasher problems we fix
Not draining / water in the bottom
A clogged filter, blocked drain hose or failed drain pump. Very common and usually a quick fix.
Dishes not getting clean
Blocked spray arms, a weak circulation pump, low water inlet or a faulty heater. We clean and test each part.
White residue or cloudy glasses
Hard-water scale and an empty salt or rinse-aid dispenser, or a faulty water softener unit.
Leaking from the door or base
Worn door seals, a cracked sump, loose hose clamps or over-foaming from the wrong detergent.
Anti-flood error (E15 and similar)
Water has reached the base tray and the safety switch has stopped the machine. We find and fix the leak, then dry the tray.
Not heating / dishes stay wet
A failed heating element or heat pump, a faulty thermostat or sensor, or a rinse-aid problem.
Not filling with water
A blocked inlet filter, a faulty inlet valve or a stuck float switch.
Door will not close or latch
A broken latch, worn hinges or snapped door springs.

- Clean the filter at the bottom of the tub every week or two.
- Keep dishwasher salt and rinse aid topped up; UAE water leaves scale fast.
- Scrape (but do not pre-rinse) plates: food chunks clog the filter and pump.
- Run a hot cycle with a dishwasher cleaner once a month.
- Use only dishwasher detergent; washing-up liquid causes foam that can flood the base.

Why does my dishwasher show E15?
On Bosch, Siemens and Neff machines E15 means water has collected in the base tray and the anti-flood switch has activated. Switch off the water and power and call us; we find the leak and dry the tray safely.
Why are my glasses cloudy?
Usually hard water. Top up dishwasher salt and rinse aid, set the water hardness correctly, and run a descaling cycle. If it continues, the softener unit may need repair.
Can you install a built-in dishwasher?
